The incomparable Kareem Abdul-Jabbar was presented with this Naismith Men’s Player of the 20th Century plaque by the Atlanta Tipoff Club. Abdul-Jabbar, who played for UCLA under his birthname of Lew Alcindor, won three consecutive national titles while leading UCLA to an 86-2 record over his three years on the varsity squad. Abdul-Jabbar averaged 26.4 points and 15.5 rebounds per game at UCLA before embarking on a legendary pro career that ended with Abdul-Jabbar in sole possession of the NBA’s career scoring record.

This offered plaque measures 20 x 13 inches, with a bronze-colored plaque showing an image of Dr. Naismith and two peach baskets affixed to the larger wooden plaque. An Atlanta Tipoff Club circular gold crest is also affixed to the plaque. Etched on this item is “Presented to Kareem Abdul Jabbar / Lew Alcindor / Naismith Men’s College Player of the 20th Century” and “By the Atlanta Tipoff Club”. Also etched on the plaque are the facsimile signatures of the President and Executive Director of the Atlanta Tipoff Club, as well as “Plaque Supplier – All American Specialties”. This plaque is a historic memento from the personal memorabilia collection of Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. This item comes with a LOA signed by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.
