Perhaps no other piece of sports memorabilia is more coveted than a Babe Ruth single-signed baseball. The Bambino penned his distinctive “Babe Ruth” signature across the sweet spot of this “Official League Ball” in bold black fountain pen. Ruth’s signature is bold and nicely centered on the sweet spot of this cream-colored orb. The stampings on this ball included the “Official League Ball” on the opposite sweet spot, “Cambridge” in old English font on the adjacent panel and the manufacturer’s info “NO. 144 5 OZ. 9 IN CUSHIONED CORK CENTER” on another panel. This ball displays beautifully and would be a welcomed addition to any serious collector’s collection.
