Offered here is a game used Dallas Cowboys helmet from an unknown player that has been signed Hall of Famer Bob Lilly and Ed “Too Tall” Jones. Lilly, a defensive tackle and affectionately known as “Mr. Cowboy”, was part of the Cowboys Super Bowl VI winning team and was a 11-time Pro Bowler and seven-time First Team All-Pro selection. Jones was a three-time Pro Bowler and three-time All-Pro. Both players were members of the famed “Doomsday Defense” that propelled the Cowboys into the America’s Team lexicon. This silver game helmet is an Air model that features the famed Cowboy’s star decal on both sides. The helmet, which displays heavy game use with paint marks and abrasions, is bisected with a white with blue border stripes and the facemask was painted dark blue, which also shows chipping that exposes the original gray color. All of the interior padding is intact and Lilly and Jones have signed their names to the right of the star on the right side of the helmet in blue marker. Lilly inscribed “#74” and Jones inscribed “Too Tall” and “#72”. This helmet comes with a LOA from Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication (F06716).
