The famed orator and educator Booker T. Washington has signed this offered cut. Washington, born into slavery in 1856, grew and led the Tuskegee Institute while campaigning tirelessly for equality and advancement for America’s black community. This offered cut is printed with “Booker T. Washington / Tuskegee Institute, Alabama.” Washington has signed the cut in black pen, inscribing “Tuskegee, Alabama” and “Oct. 25, 1910” in addition to his signature. This item is displayed in a 16.5 x 12.5-inch frame and it comes with a LOA from JSA (BB12003).
