After the success of the inaugural SummerSlam in 1988, the second SummerSlam in 1989 provided much entertainment, including the main event that pitted Brutus “The Barber” Beefcake and Hulk Hogan against Randy “Macho Man” Savage and Zeus. The team of Hogan and Beefcake would go on and defeat Savage and Zeus. Presented here are a pair of shears that were used by Beefcake during SummerSlam 89. Beefcake began using shears in 1987 following WrestleMania III. The shears are metal with handles taped in red, white and blue to display a barber poll. This item comes directly from the WWE Corporation and a LOA from the WWE will accompany this item, authenticating its use during the 1989 SummerSlam main event.
