Boston Red Sox owner Tom Yawkey was always referred to a as a “player’s owner.” His team was always higher paid than any other and he nurtured a familiarity with his players that no other team owner could approach. This fraternization extended to the ballfield where Yawkey would don a Red Sox uniform and take BP. Offered here is a navy Red Sox cap worn by Tom Yawkey. This all-navy cap features the Boston “B” sewn on the front in red and white stitching. This cap displays excellent use with a slight tear in the top seam of one of the rear pleats. There are perspiration marks on the green underside brim which also has “T.A.Y” handwritten in black marker. The inner sweat band is made of a light brown plastic material and a “PRO KM CAP” tag is sewn on the back of the band. “PRO KM CAP” and “7 3/8” is stamped in black on the inner band in black. This cap comes with a LOA from JT Sports for the use.
