It’s fitting that legendary singer Frank Sinatra, who was known not only for his incomparable voice but his blue eyes, would be a fan of the Los Angeles Dodgers. “Ol’ Blue Eyes” was issued this Los Angeles Dodgers jacket circa 1971-1983. Sinatra, who was good friends with former Dodgers’ manager and Hall of Famer Tommy Lasorda, was most likely issued this jacket in the late 1970’s. This blue with white zippered front jacket was manufactured by W.A. Goodman & Sons and has the famous “Dodgers” script and paraph sewn on across the front in white tackle twill. The sleeves and collar have blue and white ribbed elastic stripes. The back of this jacket has “SINATRA” sewn on in white tackle twill and the interior of this coat has the Goodman and size 42 tags. There is a white panel fabric tag stitched on the interior below the Goodman tag that is consistent with Dodger tagging of that era. This jacket shows signs of laundering and the Goodman tag label dates this to the 1973-81 era. This unique piece of Americana and Dodgers’ history comes with a LOA from 100% Authentic.
