This Tom Glavine Braves road jersey dates to 1996-98, the prime of his Hall of Fame career, and is an excellent example of a Tom Glavine game worn jersey. A 10-time All-Star, Glavine won two National League Cy Young awards and four Silver Sluggers for his prowess at the dish. On August 5th, 2007, the 1995 World Series MVP won the 300th game of his career, leading the New York Mets to an 8-3 victory over the Chicago Cubs. Glavine, a former draft pick of the Los Angeles Kings, finished his career with 305 wins and was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 2014.
This offered Russell Athletic size 44 button-down Braves road jersey is gray, with “Atlanta” and a tomahawk patch sewn on the chest in red and navy tackle twill and gold stitching accents. “GLAVINE” is sewn across the back shoulders in navy tackle twill over a matching gray nameplate. Glavine’s number “47”, retired by the Braves in 2010, is sewn on the back of the jersey in red and navy tackle twill. The Russell tag with a “2” Extra Length” flag is sewn on the front left tail. This jersey displays light game use with a stain between the numbers on the back and comes with a LOA from Sports Investors Authentication (190708B4), who state in their LOA “A light table evaluation shows that all stitching is original and unaltered. It is likely that if this jersey was worn, it was only worn for a single game.
