The New York Yankees All-Star Don Mattingly wore this navy Yankees warm up jersey during the mid-1980s. The 1985 American League Most valuable Player, “Donnie Baseball” played his entire career in the Bronx, hitting .307 with 222 home runs for the Yankees over 14 seasons. This short-sleeved navy warm up features New York’s iconic interlocking “NY” logo sewn on the left chest in white tackle twill. Mattingly’s number “23” is sewn on the back of the jersey in white tackle twill. A Wilson size “L” tag is sewn inside the back inside collar. The jersey shows very heavy use, with a small rip present below the “2” digit on the jersey’s back. Mattingly has signed the jersey’s chest in silver marker. The jersey comes with a LOA from noted game used jersey expert William Henderson and authentication from Beckett for the signature.
