Hall of Famer Bob Lilly was the first ever draft pick by the Dallas Cowboys in 1961 when he was selected as the 13th overall pick. Drafted out of TCU, Lilly started as a defensive end until Cowboys coach Tom Landry moved him to defensive tackle midway through the 1963 season. That move propelled Lilly’s career becoming an All-NFL selection for six straight seasons and was the foundation for the famed “Doomsday Defense”.

Lilly wore this white Dallas Cowboy’s home jersey during the early 1970s. This size 52 Southland Athletic Mfg Co. durene material jersey features Lilly’s number “74” sewn on in blue tackle twill on the front, back and sleeves. The sleeves are ¾ lengths and have two solid blue stripes outlined in black. The Southland tag is sewn on the bottom front left tail with a “52” flag attached. The back of the jersey has “LILLY” sewn on in blue tackle twill on a matching white nameplate. This jersey displays moderate game use with some light stains and some team repairs. Lilly has signed this jersey in silver marker diagonally on the “7” on the back of the jersey and has inscribed “HOF ‘80”. This classic jersey comes with a LOA from Sports Investors Authentication for the game use and a LOA from Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication (A56119) for the signature.
