The legendary guitarist Eric Clapton has signed the pick guard of this Fender Stratocaster “Blackie” model guitar. Clapton, a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a solo artist and as a member of Cream and the Yardbirds, is the only person to have been thrice inducted into the Rock Hall. Clapton is a well-known aficionado of the Fender Stratocaster, switching to the Fender brand from Gibson after being influenced by the charismatic guitar playing of luminaries such as Jimi Hendrix and Steve Winwood.
This sublime guitar has a jet-black body and a contrasting white pick guard. Two tone dials and a volume dial are present on the guitar’s body, while Clapton’s facsimile signature and “’Blackie’” are printed on the natural grain head of the guitar. Clapton has signed the pickguard in black marker, inscribing “86” next to his signature. This guitar comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (V10821).
