Here is a lock of hair of the famous Austrian composer Franz Schubert who, during his short life, wrote about 600 songs, 16 sonatas, chamber music, a symphony in C major, and the celebrated unfinished symphony in B minor. The lock of hair was cut off immediately after the composer’s death. Following Schubert’s death the locks of hair were sent to a personal friend, Ritter von Hartmann. No known hairs have ever been personally given by Franz Schubert. This comes with a LOA from University Archives.
