The influential football coach Glenn “Pop” Warner has signed this hardcover copy of John S. Stebeck’s book Fabulous Redmen: The Carlisle Indians and Their Famous Football Teams. Warner coached Carlisle during two separate stints, from 1899 to 1903 and again from 1907 to 1914. Warner coached Jim Thorpe while at Carlisle and led the team to their seminal victory over Dwight Eisenhower and Army in 1912. Later in his career, Warner won three national titles with the University of Pittsburgh and the 1926 national championship in his only season as the head coach at Stanford University. Warner has signed the cover page of this hardcover book in black steel-tip fountain pen, inscribing “To John Marshall ‘Sam’ Boone, One of my Stanford Boys, with best wishes and kindest regards”. Warner signed his name as “Glenn S. ‘Pop’ Warner”. This book comes with a LOA from JSA (Z85542).
