The 1991 NBA Finals marked a momentous occasion where Michael Jordan "Grabbed the Torch" from Magic Johnson. Before the 1991 Finals, Michael Jordan was thought of as a scoring machine incapable of winning a championship without conforming to the team concept illustrated by the likes of Magic Johnson and the Showtime Lakers. After game one of the Finals it appeared this trend would continue. Michael Jordan had other plans.
In game two Michael Jordan, wearing this style of Nike Air Jordan 6 Black Infrared sneakers, produced one of the greatest individual plays embedded in the minds of sports fans everywhere. Included are LOAs from The National Multiple Sclerosis Society attesting to the use of these sneakers in the 1991 NBA Finals and a full LOA from JSA (Y93587) for the dual vintage signatures Michael Jordan penned in silver beautifully contrasting these black sneakers.
