In 1978, Dennis Brearley and his wife Susan opened their first photo gallery on Boston's historic waterfront. Throughout the years, Dennis and Susan worked diligently to maintain the integrity of their work, while enhancing the collection by purchasing negatives from all across the country. Their collection of rare and vintage photos has grown into one of the most extensive in existence. This iconic image of Joe DiMaggio dates to 1939 and has been printed in black and white on a thick stock photo matte paper. The photo has been signed by DiMaggio in blue marker and the reverse has been stamped with the date of 1978 and "The Brearley Collection". Additionally the date 989 has been penned on the reverse. The autograph has been authenticated by PSA/DNA.
