The Hall of Fame center Kareem Abdul-Jabbar dabbled in acting during and after his legendary NBA career. One of his most famous roles was as Roger Murdock, a pilot in the 1980 movie Airplane! Abdul-Jabbar’s character poked fun at his massive celebrity, ending with the 7’2” pilot being carried out of the cockpit half-dressed in his Los Angeles Lakers uniform. Offered here is a photograph from Airplane! signed by Abdul-Jabbar in gold marker. The Hall of Famer inscribed “The Captain AKA Roger Murdock” above his signature. This item comes in a 25 x 20-inch frame and is accompanied by a LOA signed by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.
