Lance Alworth and Ron Mix were teammates on the San Diego Chargers from 1962 to 1969, with Mix anchoring the offensive line and Alworth turning in seven straight seasons with over 1,000 receiving yards. Alworth, the younger man by two years, was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1978, with Mix following “Bambi” almost immediately as a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 1979. Alworth and Mix have both signed this white Chargers MacGregor suspension helmet in blue marker. Alworth signed over the left ear flap, inscribing “HOF ‘78”, “#19”, and “Bambi” in addition to his signature. Mix signed the right ear flap, writing “HOF 1979” as his inscription. This helmet comes with a LOA from JSA for the two signatures.
