A truly unique piece, this is an official MLB Rawlings baseball signed by former Cleveland Indians pitcher Len Barker and includes his story about the perfect game that he threw in 1981. Barker threw the tenth perfect game in MLB history on May 15 against the Toronto Blue Jays. In that game, he struck out 11 of the 27 hitters he faced in a 3-0 victory for Cleveland. Barker wrote his description of that game in vivid detail along each of the four sides of the ball, from when how he arrived late to the ballpark all the way through how he felt as he pitched in the game. His signature and the date of the perfect game are located along the sweet spot of the ball. His signature and story are clearly visible in bright blue pen on the background of the white ball.
