Wearing this home blue Buffalo Bills jersey, Hall of Fame quarterback Jim Kelly lit up the visiting Washington Redskins at Rich Stadium in Buffalo during the November 3rd, 1996 game in which the Bills won 38-13. Kelly completed 19 of 23 passes for 206 yards and ran for a touchdown in the victory. This Champion size 44 blue mesh jersey features Kelly’s number “12” screen-printed on the front, back and sleeves in white with red borders. The collar is lined with a ribbed material red/white/red striping pattern and the NFL shield patch is sewn on the base. The sleeves are capped with screen-printed white stripes with red borders and the manufacture tags are sewn on the front left tail that include a “Champion DESIGNED & TAILORED 1996 EXCLUSIVELY FOR BUFFALO BILLS” tag and a Champion size 44 tag. The back has “KELLY” screen-printed in white on a matching blue nameplate. Kelly signed his name in black marker on the top of the “2” on the back and inscribed “12” below, while also inscribing “My Very Best” diagonally on the middle of the “2” and “Bills – 38 Redskins – 13 11/3/96” on the bottom. This jersey comes with a COA from Jim Kelly Enterprises authenticating the game use and a LOA from Beckett Authentication for the signature and inscriptions.
