Graded EX 5 by BVG. Hall of Famer, in an enviable Rookie Card depiction. Jackie Robinson was one of the most memorable figures ever associated with the game, and inspiring stories, in abundance, exist about all facets of Robinson's career. The pioneer's rookie cards are viewed as important cornerstones in any accomplished card collection. One of Robinson's debut pieces is among the keys in the intriguing baseball series produced by Leaf Gum Co. in 1948-49, a notably scarce post-war issue. The offered example of that seldom-seen treasure will fit nicely in any nostalgic assembly. All four of its corners are well-formed, and the reverse-side text is boldly printed on the issue's grey-colored cardstock. The bright, fresh piece concedes leftward image alignment. A significant, sought-after card, in Excellent condition.
