In 1998 Monica Lewinsky went from unknown White House intern to mistress of the most powerful man in the world. The scandal rocked the nation and Bill Clinton became only the second president in history to be impeached by Congress. Ms. Lewinsky was no stranger to pursuing relations with married men, in fact at the time she and President Clinton were engaged in their affair Lewinsky was still involved with her married high school drama teacher. That teacher, Andrew Bleiler and his wife Kate were propelled into the spotlight when certain gifts and notes given to the Bleiler's by Lewinsky were handed over to independent investigator Ken Starr. It was to Andrew Bleiler that Monica famously told that she was "going to Washington to get her presidential knee pads". She made good on her quest and this archive is proof that she reached that goal.

Included is one of the most unique Presidential items ever offered: birthday letter on White House stationary (with usual autopen signature) Lewinsky had President Bill Clinton write to her other lover Andrew Bleiler! There is also an auto-pen signed photo of Bill and Hillary Clinton to the Bleiler's and one of the President by himself auto-pen signed to Andrew Bleiler. There are 8 personalized hand written and signed cards from Lewinsky to her former professor/lover, some with snap shots enclosed, one of Lewinsky at graduation upon which she drew an arrow to herself and marked "Me" and a snap of Bob Dole's backyard at The Watergate. The archive includes four copies of the 1995 "Holidays at the White House" program. Among the souvenirs Lewinsky picked up from the White House and sent to the Bleiler's are three boxes of White House branded M&M's, one box of Whitman's Chocolates bearing the official Presidential seal and a Presidential match book. A selection of Monica Lewinsky's wardrobe from the time of her internship at the White House are also included consisting of four jackets, one pair of wool slacks and a green silk shirt. Of particular note is an alluring black sheer slip which Lewinsky gave to Kate Bleiler, the wife of her former lover.

These items were used in Ken Starr's investigation of the affair and later returned to Kate Nason, the former Mrs. Bleiler. A more unique grouping from one of the most sordid episodes in Presidential history has yet to be offered. Letter of Authenticity from Kate Nason. The lot has been pre-certified by PSA/DNA with each Lewinsky signature being deemed authentic and each Clinton signature being auto pen. LOA from University Archives signed by leading historical autograph expert John Reznikoff.
