In a July 16, 2008 contest, James Toney and Hasim Rahman squared off for the WBO NABO Heavyweight Championship. A 3rd round accidental head butt left Rahman unable to continue, and instead of a 'no decision', the fight was awarded to Toney as a 3 round TKO. (12 days later it was changed to an 'no decision' by the California State Athletic Commission.) This is the belt awarded to Toney from that match. It is a black leather belt with fur backing and a large golden NABO insignia in the center surrounded by two smaller round blank panels. It is in superb shape and comes signed by James “Lights-Out” Toney, 12x champ, who adds the date 2007 instead of 2008 and combines his opponents name Hasim Rahman into 'Rahim #2 - heavyweight champ', signifying it was the second meeting between the two. The belt is an eye catching reminder of the spoils of boxing at its most competitive levels. This item comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA and James Toney.
