The premier quarterback of his generation despite never winning a Super Bowl, Dan Marino wore this Nike Miami Dolphins home jersey during the 1999 NFL season. Aqua blue with the #13 in triple tackle twill white-on-orange-on-black on the front, back and sleeves, the size 54 jersey features the NIKE logo above the Dolphins logo and orange, white and black trim on each sleeve. There is a small tag reading “99-54” on the interior collar, while “MARINO” is stitched in white with orange trim on a blue nameplate above the number on the back. The NFL shield is stitched at the neckline, and the tail is not only home to the Nike manufacturing label with a smaller “6” L.B.” tag, but also the Velcro pads on the front and back that were used to strap Marino’s jersey to his waistband. The jersey shows moderate game use, with some staining on the #3 on both the front and back, while the back #1 is signed “Dan Marino 13” in bold blue sharpie. The jersey is accompanied by an LOA from PSA and from noted game used jersey expert Dave Miedema.
