Graded NM 7 by PSA. Hall of Famer. The volume of boxing card production has never matched the enthusiasm of the sport's impassioned fans. During the 1950's, millions of people followed the matches, but they didn't have collectible cards as souvenirs of their favorite champions. Topps tried to remedy this situation, briefly, in 1951. The company's Ringside set gave collectors their once-in-a-decade opportunity to find boxing superstars commemorated on cardboard. Offered is the immensely appealing entry of Rocky Marciano from the 1951 Topps Ringside set. It's every bit as desirable now as it was in those days, and in nearly the same level of condition. This colorfully hued item exhibits the splendor of its issue through a distinctive, horizontally oriented illustration that's complemented nicely by pleasing attributes of preservation. An attractive piece from a relatively unheralded card collecting niche, in Near Mint condition.
