Presented is a 48-card complete set of 1951 Bowman "Red Menace" non-sports cards. This intriguing production fueled the anti-communistic fervor that gripped, and crippled, American society. Bowman issued this set of colorful collectibles depicting vital events, prominent military leaders, and the potential effects of nuclear war (as seen on card #23). With three exceptions (#'s 3, 18 and 42) in the set, the cards are all on white cardstock. Highlights include: #'s 2 MacArthur (EX/MT), 23 Ghost City (EX/MT), 24 General "Ike" in Command (VG/EX) and 47 War-Maker (EX). Grades 27% NM to NM/MT (mostly NM), 50% EX to EX/MT, 23% VG to VG/EX.
