The sight that inspired fear in the hearts of the day's American League teams – the determined poise of Mickey Mantle's left-handed batting posture – was reproduced for young collectors' benefit on this popular 1966 Topps entry. On the offered example of the depiction, the spectacle appears up-to-the-moment fresh, displaying a brilliant manner of projection that makes the image seem just recently minted. (This impressive print quality extends to the item's reverse, as well.) The card's centering is exceptional, and its corners are admirably robust. Near Mint condition.
