Nicknamed "Mr. Padre", Tony Gwynn won eight batting titles in his career, tied for the most in National League history. Gwynn was a 15-time All-Star, recognized for both his offensive and defensive skills as he won seven Silver Slugger Awards and five Gold Glove Awards. Gwynn was inducted in the Baseball Hall of Fame in his first year of eligibility in 2007 and passed away in 2014 at the young age of 54.
This New Era fielding cap features the interlocking white and orange Padre’s ‘SD’ logo on the front against the blue background. Gwynn has also signed the cap on the bill. The inside of the cap features Gwynn’s number ‘19’ written in black marker and on the underside of the bill is written ‘3042, 3043 vs MTL. 9/11/99’
