Rickey Henderson was already MLB’s all-time leader in runs scored and stolen bases when he collected his 3,000th Major League hit on October 7, 2001, the final day of the season. On May 22, 2002 at Fenway Park in Boston, MA, Rickey added one more milestone to his impressive resume when he played in his 3,000th career ballgame. This Official Selig Major League baseball, game used on that day, has been signed and inscribed “5/22/02 3000 Game Ball Rickey Henderson” in blue ink on the panel below the sweet spot. The ball exhibits wear consistent with game use, and is accompanied by a Henderson-signed LOA from Man of Steal sports, as well as a COA from JSA.
