On September 23, 2007, the Philadelphia Eagles commemorated their 75th season in the NFL by wearing this 1933-style blue and gold helmet while hosting the Detroit Lions at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, PA. The Eagles trounced the Lions, 56-21 on that date, the 2nd most points scored in Eagles history. Brent Celek was a rookie in 2007, and while he did not see any targets from QB Donovan McNabb in the game, Celek did wear this helmet on game day. The helmet, manufactured by Riddell, shows heavy scuffing, likely due to Celek’s use as a blocking tight end. The chin strap and face mask are both firmly secured, and Celek’s #87 is stickered on the back of the helmet on either side of the blue center stripe. An NFL logo sticker resides on the back, left side, while an American Flag sticker adorns the back, right. There is a hole cracked in the top of the helmet slightly toward the back. The helmet is accompanied by a certificate of registration from the MeiGrayGroup, as well as a team-issued LOA that is tagged with the MGG hologram corresponding to the COR, and signed by owner Jeffrey Lurie.
