On September 6, 1995, Cal Ripken, Jr. played in his 2,131st consecutive game, breaking Lou Gehrig’s Iron Man record. This official Budig American League Baseball, a game used Cal Ripken, Jr. memorial ball, has been signed by Ripken in black ink on the sweet spot. Al Clark, who served as the 3rd base umpire that night, has added his signature in black ink on the panel above the sweet spot, and included the inscription “Game Used Sept. 6, 1995 Consecutive Game #2,131”. Below his signature, Clark has added “3rd Base Ump #24 – A.L. Ump”. The ball shows heavy game use, and comes with an LOA from PSA/DNA.
