It was Graig Nettles' glove that turned the tide of the 1978 World Series. Down 2 games to 0, Nettles sucked up baseballs like a vacuum cleaner at third base turning sure Dodger hits into outs. Inspired by Nettles' performance, the Yankees bats came alive and turned a sure LA victory into a Yankee triumph. This Hillerich & Bradsby S44 model bat shows excellent use and is un-cracked. Several ball marks with stitch impressions can be seen and there is a light coat of pine tar on the handle. Best of all, Nettles has signed the bat and added "Game Used 78 World Series" in blue marker. Items used from the ’77-’78 World Series from the Yankees have been exceedingly rare to find in the marketplace Letter of Authenticity (1B06291) from PSA/DNA who have graded this bat a GU 8.5.
