Since Mike Trout burst into the Major Leagues in 2011 he blazed a trail few have done before. The Angels star has played in every All-Star Game since his rookie year, won the American League Rookie of the Year Award in 2012 and was named the American League MVP in 2014. On April 17, 2015, he became the youngest player in MLB history to reach 100 home runs and 100 stolen bases. This is one of the bats he used during that historic 2015 season. Trout's Old Hickory MT27* model bat is un-cracked and shows terrific game use. This is an extremely rare variation, utilizing the colorful Lizard Skin grip tape on the handle. These bats only went into play at the beginning of September, when Trout went on a hot streak for the month. This is the first and only one of this variety to be made available publicly as well. The barrel shows the impression of a weighted batting donut and many ball marks and stitch impressions are visible. Blue ink transfers can be seen along with white leather ball scuffs and cleat imprints. A moderate coat of Mota Stick is on the lower handle and pine tar is found on the upper handle. The lower handle has been taped in a spiral pattern of Lizard Skin to enhance the grip, creating a very nice aesthetic to the bat overall. The bat's length "33.5" is stamped into the barrel brand along with "1412262-MT6" which marks the bat as being the 6th bat in work order 262 dated December 2014. Trout has signed the barrel in contrasting silver pen and added "15 G/U". Letter of Authenticity (1364) from Anderson Authentics which handles most of Trout's game used items. PSA has graded this beautiful bat a perfect 10.
