The intense athleticism of Michael Jordan is on full display in this rendering of his dominant "Slam Dunk." World-renowned artist Stephen Holland understood the transcendant nature of Jordan's many gifts, and he adroitly summarized the player's heroics in this colorful tribute. The limited-edition giclée on canvas captures Jordan in a glorious charge, accented by Holland's raw, abstract splatters, with two background scenes reinforcing the star's central, primary activity. The viewer's eye is drawn to alternately admire Jordan's face, the colors in his uniform and physique, and the totality of the presentation. A large and superb, gold paint pen Jordan signature is situated at the left edge of the approximately 41" x 28" work. Also signed and hand-enhanced by Holland, the elite display place (#41) hails from an edition of just 69 examples. LOA from JSA.
