In just his 4th season with the Boston Red Sox, Roger Clemens won 20 games for the 2nd time in 1987 en route to his 2nd of what would become 7 Cy Young Awards over the course of his 24 year career. This white, button-down jersey has “RED SOX” across the chest with a “WILSON 44” manufacturer’s tag above a square “87” patch. Red piping circles the neck and runs down the front of the jersey on either side of the buttons, and the back has Clemens’s number “21”. The Fenway Park 75th Anniversary patch has been removed from the left sleeve, which was customary for the 1987 Red Sox game jerseys. Moderate game use is evident, and the jersey is accompanied by an LOA from noted game use expert Dave Miedema.
