For fans in Brooklyn, 1957 will be remembered as the last season they would watch their beloved Dodgers before owner Walter O'Malley made good on his threat to move the Dodgers out of Brooklyn if the city did not build him a new stadium in that borough. When the best that could be offered was a stadium in Queens, O'Malley moved the team to Los Angeles after the season ended. The Dodgers final game at Ebbetts Field was on September 24th of that season. Nine (9) members of the Dodgers have signed this approximately 3 ¾” x 5 ¾” lined sheet of paper in pencil. The signatures include Hall of Famer Roy Campanella (whose last year with the Dodgers was 1957), Hall of Famer Pee Wee Reese, Roger Craig, Clem Labine, Jim Gentile, Sandy Amorose (twice), Chuck Page (PCL) and Bob Wilson (who joined the Dodgers in ’58).
