Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim star outfielder Mike Trout recorded his first Major League career hit on 7-9-11 while playing against the Seattle Mariners. During the bottom of the third inning Trout got his first career hit off of pitcher Michael Pineda. Trout went 1-3 with a walk and two runs scored in a 9-3 win over the Mariners.
