As press-pin collectors are well aware, the first official All-Star Game press pin was produced in 1938. But this All-Star pin produced in '37 (likely for players and/or dignitaries) is quite similar in size and design to all those that followed. The Dieges & Clust 10K-gold example has been mounted to a modern 10K-gold ring band with relevant shank designs and a glistening 5-point diamond. Interestingly, the pin still retains its original threaded-post backing within the interior band (which thus cannot be accurately sized or comfortably worn, but can be detached from the ring base if desired). NM with a beautiful blue-enamel inner border and intricate raised-relief details. A 2001 purchase LOA accompanies.
