Back in 2005 Phillip Rivers leapt into the national spotlight when he flawlessly took over the first string quarterback spot and led the Chargers to a 14-2 record. Ever since he's been San Diego's quarterback, and now most of the team's QB records are in his name. Rivers wore this Chargers jersey during the October 19, 2014 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs at Qualcomm Stadium. Rivers passed for a total of 205 yards, 2 touchdowns and 1 interception in the game. The powder blue jersey features Rivers' number "17" on the chest in yellow, navy and white tackle twill. His captain's "C" patch is sewn on the right side adjacent to "CHARGERS" in yellow and white embroidered thread. Each shoulder has Rivers' number "17" and the Chargers lightning bolt in yellow, navy and white tackle twill. Nike size 44 Q-BK label is inside the collar along with "2014" year tag and "1" L.B." white strip tag. The back has "RIVERS" in navy and white tackle twill on a powder blue nameplate. His number "17" in yellow, navy and white tackle twill appears below. The jersey shows good game use with some turf scuffs and contact abrasions visible throughout. There is some staining around the neck line and random loose threads on the tackle twill lettering. Colors remain strong and bright and the elastic waistband is intact.
