By the time The Chief wrapped up his career in 1997 he left behind a record that will be hard to break:1,611 NBA games played. When the Top 50 NBA Players of All-Time were revealed Robert Parish was one of them. The NBA Hall of Famer wore this Celtics jersey during the 1990-91 season, the last one in which he was named to the All-Star team. This jersey has the ultimate photo-match: Parrish is wearing it on the cover of the March 11, 1991 Sports Illustrated, and a copy of the magazine is included in this lot. The white mesh jersey has "CELTICS" and Parish's number "00" in green tackle twill across the front and the neck and arm openings are trimmed in green and white ribbing. Champion size "46" label is sewn in the left front tail along with a "Designed & Tailored Exclusively for BOSTON CELTICS" tag. "90" and "3"LB" white strip tags are also affixed adjacent to the label. The back has "PARISH" and his number "00" in green tackle twill. The jersey show awesome game use with some staining particularly on the lower front. There are loose threads on the lettering and some puckering to the tackle twill lettering from laundering. There are no rips or tears and the white mesh has a warm tone from age making this jersey a great display piece. Letter of Authenticity (152369) from MeiGrayGroup.
