The reigning AL MVP used this bat during the August 28, 2014 game against New York. Facing Yankees pitcher Hiroki Kuroda in the bottom of the 6th, Cabrera grounded out to third, breaking the handle of this MC1 model Sam Bat. A 1" x 5" piece is missing from the handle which has a light coat of pine tar. The barrel shows great game use with many ball marks and stitch impressions with white leather ball scuffs. Cleat marks are visible and the barrel end has many scuffs from contact with the ground. The knob end has a "Made in Canada" sticker affixed and Cabrera's number "24" and "11" has been hand written in black Sharpie. The barrel end has his number "24" and "11" along with bat specs and order number in black pen. A great gamer from the hardest hitting slugger in the game today. COA (HZ 308309) from MLB.
