The Chicago Cubs Rookie of the Year used this bat during the May 8, 2015 game at Milwaukee. Bryant was facing Jimmy Nelson in the top of the fifth when he broke the handle of this bat. Bryant went on to be the first Cubbie in 25 years to win the Rookie of the Year Award and his 99 doubles were the most posted by a freshman players since Albert Pujols did it in his Rookie season.

The Chandler CB243.1 model bat shows great game use with a cracked handle that has been secured with adhesive tape. The bat's barrel exhibits many ball marks with white leather ball scuffs. The handle has a medium coat of pine tar and has "KB3" hand written in black marker on the knob end. "76", and the bat's specs "34 36.7" are written in blue marker. The barrel end has the number 76 in black marker.

COA HZ 549200 from MLB. In addition, the bat has also been photomatched to Bryant's at-bats in the 1st and 3rd innings on May 8th and this lot also includes a framed Getty Image #472643978 from the exact at-bat which depicts the bat splintering.
