In his first season in the NBA Terry Cummings averaged 23.7 points a game and was named to the All-Rookie Team as well as the league's Rookie of the Year. This is the certificate awarded to Cummings on being named to the All-Rookie team. The certificate is housed in a rigid blue vinyl folder with the NBA logo in gold on its cover. The award itself is an 8 1/2" x 11" document proclaiming "THE NATIONAL BASKETBALL ASSOCIATION HONORS TERRY CUMMINGS SAN DIEGO CLIPPERS 1982-1983 ALL-ROOKIE TEAM MAY 24, 1983". The award is signed in black ink by commissioner Lawrence O'Brien. Cummings has signed outside back cover in black marker adding "1982-1983 All Rookie Team". The award shows wear from storage including some distortion to the covers and water stains on the inside award and lining. The edges of the award document show some yellowing and the colors of the NBA logo has smeared. This item comes with a LOA containing a facsimile signature from Terry Cummings.
