Lot of 3 Bregman memorabilia:
1- Movie Poster: Writer and photographer Arlene Alda and wife of famed actor Alan Alda, wrote and inscribed a message on a “ON SET” movie poster of “The Four Seasons” to that movie’s producer Martin Bregman. The inscription reads “Dear Marty, What a wonderful, terrific, sensational, project to be connected with – and in large measure because of your faith in me. Much Love – Arlene”.
2- Bregman Production Inc Sign: This 24-1/4" x 5" gold-colored sign is attributed to Bregman Production, which was founded by Martin Bregman. Martin was a personal manager and film producer who produced many films, including: Carlito's Way, Scarface and The Bone Collector. The front of the piece concedes minor handing wear and adhesive residue and glue remnants can be seen on the reverse which resulted from being adhered to a wall.
3- Al Pacino Lot of (7) Scripts: After hurtling onto the big screen in 1970's "Panic in Needle Park" Al Pacino quickly rocketed to the forefront of American acting giants. As such, Pacino received many prospective movie scripts to review, the writers hoping the acting great would lend his insurmountable talent to their piece. This collection of 7 scripts runs from Pacino's early days as Hollywood's newest star into the 21st century where he is acknowledged as one of cinema's veteran icons. The earliest of the bunch is "Bank Job" by Frank Pierson dated August 23, 1973. The title suggests a run of the mill heist picture, but the film is much better known under its released title of "Dog Day Afternoon". This was arguably Al Pacino's breakthrough movie that propelled him into the front rank of A-list actors. The original script runs 62 onion skin pages and has numerous corrections with and is bound with a rusted paperclip. Next is "The Gold Coast" based on the novel by Nelson DeMille dated June 4, 1994. The 129 page script carries a few notations within and is bound with 2 metal screws. A later gold covered 2008 revision of the same script is included as well. Michael Bergman's rough script for "The Pajama King" is dated April 2004. Bound in a gold cover, various notations are found including a revision to the title in which "King" was changed to "Man". Two 2006 scripts of "Lennox Avenue" (a prequel to "Carlito's Way) round out the lot. A unique, behind the scenes look into Al Pacino's script selection process.
