Let's put aside this ring's historical importance for the moment. Let's take away how the Cards avenged their World Series loss from two years earlier, how they captured their first championship in a quarter-century, how that triumph elevated the franchise to the milestone of 10 total championships, and how everything fittingly took place in the inaugural season of new Busch Stadium. Remove all that and still, according to an accompanying appraisal, the inherent value of this ring's raw materials alone already amounts to over $11,000. The Certified Appraisal Letter from the St. Louis Cardinals' official jeweler Shane Co. reads, "One 2006 St. Louis Cardinals World Series ring in 10 karat yellow gold containing 36 rubies at approximately 1.33 ctw and 53 diamonds at approximately 1.80 btw. The diamonds are H/I in color and SI1 in clarity. The DWT of the ring is approximately 39.4." Players were issued 14k rings while staff received the same ring but with 10k.

Manufactured by Intergold, the crown jewel measures size 12-1/2 and was bestowed upon a recipient by the surname of Donovan. Shank motifs highlight the stadium's "INAUGURAL SEASON" and team's "TENTH WORLD SERIES TITLE." NM condition. Includes the monumental presentation box (7-1/2" x 6-1/4" x 4-1/4") featuring a recessed, red-and-white enamel team logo and the lettering "World Series Champions 2006." Also comes with a 2011 purchase LOA.
