Offered is the 1986 Rawlings Gold Glove Award that was “Presented to Keith Hernandez honoring his selection to the Sporting News National League All-Star Fielding Team.” This is the actual award given to Keith Hernandez, it is not a replica and no duplicates were ever authorized by Hernandez. Hernandez was a premier defensive first baseman in the 1980s, and won the award at first base from 1978-88 with both the Cardinals and Mets, establishing him as one of-if not the-best first basement of all time. This glimmering and iconic 17” x 16” trophy displays a gold-painted Rawlings Major League All-Star Fielding Team glove mounted on a solid Oak platform featuring a portrait of Hernandez etched into a metallic gold colored plate with a pair of gold painted Rawlings baseballs supported by tripods of miniature golden bats on either side above the descriptive nameplate adorned with the familiar red Rawlings logo under each ball.
