For the second year in a row Mike Trout narrowly missed being named the AL MVP. In any other year his sophomore season numbers would have put him over the top: .323 average, 27 homers, 33 stolen bases and 97 RBI. This is one of the bats the Angels star used during his second summer as a big leaguer. The Old Hickory MT27 model bat displays excellent use and is un-cracked. The barrel shows many ball marks with stitch impressions. There are white leather ball scuffs and cleat imprints plus the impression of a weighted batting donut. As is Trout’s custom, the lower handle and knob have been taped in a spiral pattern to enhance his grip. A moderate coat of Mota Stick is on the lower handle and a light coat of pine tar is on the upper. Trout’s number “27” is hand written on the knob and the bat’s length “33.5” is stamped into the wood. Best of all, Trout has signed the barrel in contrasting silver pen, adding “13 G/U”. About as perfect as a Trout game used bat as you could find. This bat comes with LOAs from PSA/DNA (1B11105 & AA08136) and they have graded this bat a perfect GU10. There is an additional LOA from Anderson Authentics.
