If there was never a Cy Young, the likely name for the best pitcher award would be known as the “Walter Johnson Award”. The lanky right hander was arguably the greatest pitcher of all time, winning a remarkable 410 games, while playing most of his career with the perennial last place Washington Senators. This Reach Official American League Ban Johnson baseball with the blue and red stitching contains a black fountain pen “Walter Johnson” signature across the sweet spot (“6/10”). Several areas of the moderately toned ball have light scrapes, none of which impede the character of the signature. This baseball comes with a full LOA from PSA/DNA (B54636).
