Edgar Martinez may go down as one of the greatest DH’s of all time. Martinez wore this white Russell Athletic size 50 button-down Mariners jersey during the 2003 season, his second to last of his career. This jersey features “MARINERS” sewn on and arched across the chest in navy blue, green and silver tackle twill. Navy blue piping surrounds the collar and runs down each side of the buttons. “MARTINEZ” is sewn on in navy blue and green on a matching white name plate on the back and his number “11” is sewn on in navy blue and green. The Russell Athletic tag is sewn on the bottom front tail, along with a “2003” year tag. A Mariners circle patch is sewn on the left sleeve and the MLB logo patch is sewn on in Mariner’s colors on the upper back collar. This jersey displays moderate game use with some stains

      Also included in this lot are the matching home white pants worn by Martinez. Like the jersey, these pants were also manufactured by Russell Athletic and have a size 39 waist. Navy blue piping run down each leg and the team tag is sewn on the inside back waist band and reads "11-MARTINEZ-37/41-30-03". These pants show evidence of outstanding use with dirt stains on the front and back. The Russell Athletic logo is embroidered on the back directly above the left pocket. This entire uniform comes with a LOA from noted game used jersey expert Dave Miedema.
