While there have been many players “down the pike” after Michael Jordan who were proclaimed as “the next Jordan” one guy currently in his own pike is Stephen Curry, the top point guard in the world, with moves like Jordan but with his own style and flair. Curry combines electric speed and quickness, tremendous long range shooting ability and highly skilled ball handling. In fact, doing the shoot-around before games, Curry is regularly seen dribbling two basketballs simultaneously in front, around the back and through his legs for long periods. His is said to “take very bad shots, but seems to always make them” and no other player than the legendary Larry Bird (himself a great shooter) calls Curry one of the best shooters in NBA history.

With all those on court attributes, it is no wonder Curry has won back-to-back NBA MVP awards, with this current season being a unanimous choice. His first MVP came last year, when he also led the Golden State Warriors to their first NBA title since 1975. It was on June 7th  during Game 2 of the 2015 NBA Finals (a 95-93 OT loss) against LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers when Curry wore this pair of shoes. Each shoe is signed “Stephen Curry 2015 NBA MVP” with the right shoe also having the initials “WSC” while the left shoe has the phrase “I Can Do All Things…” Curry’s devotion to his game and his faith are well documented.

The shoes show appropriate wear with scrapes on each toe and multiple scuff marks on the sides and soles. Interestingly, the bottom of each shoe contains a “map” consisting of a gold line which has the names “CHARLOTTE” then “DAVIDSON” and “OAKLAND” which are the three stops on his road to basketball greatness.

Each shoe also contains a FANATICS Authentic hologram (0911287 and 0911288) which authenticated the signing of each shoe. In addition, there is a COA signed by Stephen Curry indicating he wore these shoes in Game 2 of the 2015 NBA Finals.

As the premiere  multi-talented player in the NBA today (reigning two time MVP Award winner) Stephen Curry has gained the praise from basketball fans of all ages, but especially the youngest who admire his dedication to his craft and personal life. The pair of shoes were derived directly from Curry and comes with provenance attesting to its authenticity. One of the few Game Worn Finals items from this great talent and with another NBA title and more MVP awards, one day Curry would then be mentioned in the same pike as Michael Jordan.
