Hall of Famer Ryne Sandberg was a 10-time all-star, a nine-time gold glove winner and the 1984 National League Rookie of the Year recipient. Sandberg finished his career with 2,386 hits, 282 home runs, 1,061 RBI and had a career .285 batting average in 16 seasons with the Chicago Cubs, after debuting for the Philadelphia Phillies for 13 games in 1981.
Offered is a game ready bat from Sandberg’s 1996 season. This Adirondack/Rawlings 256B model bat has a labeling period of 1996 and is 34 ¼ inches long. Sandberg’s number “23” is hand written on the knob and top barrel in black marker and the weight and “Sandberg” are written in red ink on the knob. This bat, according to PSA/DNA’s letter of authenticity was “game prepped” for the 1996 season and Sandberg signed his name in blue marker across the barrel. This bat comes with a full LOA from PSA/DNA (1B03110) for the use and a JSA STICKER ONLY (F64606) for his signature.
